I completed my master’s degree in agricultural and resource economics at UC Davis in 2016. My degree provided me with econometric skills and a robust understanding of microeconomics. In addition to the Master’s course sequence, I have PhD level coursework in microeconomics, research design, and econometrics. Since leaving Davis, I have conducted research in a variety of contexts from policy analysis to farmer behavior. I have worked with administrative, spatial, and survey data, often combining data from various sources to better study diverse topics such as the role of water availability in agricultural planting decisions and how policy changes may affect consumers’ use of recycling services. I also have experience in data collection.

• I taught how international environmental economics and policy use an economic framework to examine the reasons behind, and methods to solve, conflicts between economic development and growth, trade, and the environment. The course explored the processes of international policy development: identifying problems, designing and negotiating solutions, and implementing policies to change national behavior.

• Organized and executed the UMS Rural Health and Wellbeing Grand Challenge Pilot Initiative 

• Chaired committee to host the United States Arctic Research Commissioners (USARC) 113th public meeting and a seminar by the USARC chair, Fran Ulmer (postponed due to COVID-19)
